Ag Mechanics CDE - System Plant Production

It was decided to align the Texas FFA CDE ATMS Contest to better fit the National Contest and guided examples within each skill set.

Machinery & Equipment - (Individual Skills)

Boom Sprayer

Electrical - (Individual Skill)

Electric Motors & Controls

Environmental & NR - (Individual Skill)

Plumbing (PVC)

Compact Equipment - (Team Activity)

Small Engines - single or multi cylinder engines (roughly 30 HP or less?) OHV engines

Structures - (Team Activity)

SMAW Welding rule update stating that tools will be provided by the contest provider unless posted 60 days before the contest was approved. Increase in registration cost to $125 to help with providing materials was approved.

• 09/06/2024 – Texas State ATMS Prep Course (9:00am to 4:00pm)
• 09/19/2024 - Texas State AC Wiring Workshop (9:00am to 4:00pm)
• 03/21/2025– Texas State Invitational CDE 9:00am
• 03/29/2025 - Texas A&M ATMS Invitational 9:00am
• 03/27/2025 – SFA Invitational ATMS CDE
• 03/28/2025 – SHSU Invitational ATMS CDE
• 04/11/2025 – Area VII ATMS Contest Texas State 9:00am
• 04/25/2025 – State ATMS Contest SHSU

Tractor Technician Committee Report

ATAT Conference 2024 – Dallas, TX

Tractor Technician Contest and Workshop Dates:

•  01/28/2025 - Area 7 Tractor Technician CDE: O’Connor High School
•  03/9-10/2025 - First Part New Location (Bayou City) Second Part (Bayou City) Test Third Part (Houston Stock Show) Noon Meal Provided to top 10 Teams
• Only Top 10 Teams out of the 12 Areas will Compete in Debugging Part Three

• Tractor is Ford New Holland Power Star 75 with Cab and 4WD (the 85 & 65 are similar to the 75)
